## How as COVID-19 impacted the mental well being of our population?
- 8.7% (n=92) of surveyed Singapore population met the criteria for clinical depression.
- 9.4% (n=99) met criteria for anxiety.
- 9.3% (n=98) severe stress.
- Source of stress: Worry about getting covid, job loss, and money.
- 50% Increased volume phone call to IMH mental health helpline since circuit breaker.
## Work Done Thus Far
- Majority of the work fall under what they call "upstream initiatives", to preserve the mental health and well-being of the population. Encourage people to seek help, by raising awareness,
- There were campaigns for general population,
- Parents/family resilience, Early childhood
- Workplace.
- Senior citizens
- To address stressors:
- There were employment and financial packages, grants.

## Gaps identified and recommendations
1. Need to develop overarching strategy on mental health and well-being. - "[[National Mental Health and Well-being Strategy]]"
2. Need to be easier to find resources.
3. Need one stop portal for national mental health resources
4. Better training and equipping standards.
