regarding (1) the individual or group to be targeted for assistance, (2) the focus of help that will be provided, (3) the level of the intervention and change that is needed or desired by disputants (or on occasion by the third party), and (4) the amount of action and direction provided by the intermediary.
Target of Interventions : Who is the client?
Focus of intervention: What is the problem - is it to change psychological barriers, the interactions and relationships of disputants.
Level of intervention: The depth of the mediation.
Amount of action and direction : Active/passive, Elicitive/directive or prescriptive.
